写真家 / 映像作家
塩川 雄也（しおかわ ゆうや）
1988年、福岡県北九州市生まれ。
山口大学医学部保健学科卒業後、附属の大学病院で看護師として勤務。
山口県宇部市にある山本写真機店との出会いから、
人生を記録することの大切さを学び、写真の魅力に惹かれいく。
写真家を志して上京後、青山裕企氏に師事。 2017年 写真家として独立。
現在は東京を拠点に、写真・映像・言葉を通して、
人やものづくりの物語を伝える仕事に携わる。
また、旅で出会った情景や想いを綴り、
表現として形にすることをライフワークとしている。

YUYA SHIOKAWA
Born in 1988 in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka, Japan.
After graduating from the Faculty of Health Sciences at Yamaguchi University, he worked as a nurse at the affiliated university hospital.
An encounter with Yamamoto Camera in Ube, Yamaguchi, led him to realize the importance of documenting life, drawing him into the world of photography.
After moving to Tokyo to pursue a career as a photographer, he apprenticed under Yuki Aoyama. In 2017, he became an independent photographer.
Currently based in Tokyo, he works across photography, film, and writing, focusing on telling the stories of people and craftsmanship. He also continues, as a lifelong practice, to capture and express the landscapes and emotions he encounters through his travels.
